Jesus & Peter

 This morning we’ll be reading the story of Peter and Jesus’ conversation by the lake, where Jesus says, “if you love me, feed my sheep.” In our Methodist tradition, there’s a word we phrase we love to use - social holiness. Have you heard someone use that phrase before? Social holiness is the idea that to love God is to love your neighbor, and in order to grow in our faith, we do so in community. Testifying isn’t about simply talking about Jesus, but about serving as Christ served and loving as Christ loved. The good news of Jesus Christ is in the kindness we give to others.
