Pentecost
Today is a very special day in the life of the church. Today is our birthday! It’s Pentecost Sunday, which is the day we celebrate as the birth of the Christian church. We celebrate the movement of the Holy Spirit that empowered the message of Jesus Christ beyond the disciples and into the entire world. We are part of that magnificent story, and rejoice at what the Spirit has done and eagerly anticipate what the Spirit will do next in and through us. For there is no fear the Holy Spirit cannot overcome. There is no door the Spirit of grace cannot breach. There is good news indeed.
