Desi Sharp Brumit

Senior Pastor

Desi Sharp Brumit is a native Oklahoman and a life-long United Methodist.  She has lived all over the state as a preacher’s kid. She began serving The United Methodist Church as a youth director when she was 19 years old and her love for ministry continued to grow. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Oklahoma City University, attended Seminary at Boston University, where she graduated with honors with a Masters of Divinity, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration in Non-Profit Church Leadership from Dakota Wesleyan University.

Desi was appointed Senior Pastor here at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in 2017. She loves preaching and teaching and getting to spend time with God’s people. She’s always happy to grab a cup of coffee and chat!

When she is at home she likes spending time with her husband Jason and their small menagerie; three dogs, Louie, Tsen Pei, and Esme, and two birds at last count. She enjoys relaxing with a book in her hammock whenever she has the chance, and she loves to travel. She and Jason look forward to visiting as much of the world as possible. She always enjoys spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is blessed with two fantastic step-daughters, a grandson, her parents, three brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Betsy Stewart-Dooley

Associate Pastor

Betsy is a 5th generation Oklahoman, and serves as the Associate Pastor of Online and Digital Ministry. She is passionate about her work, leveraging the digital medium to make and develop disciples. She earned two BA degrees from Ouachita Baptist University in Missiology and Mass Communications, and is currently working on her M.Div at St Paul's School of Theology. Prior to becoming a United Methodist, Betsy served as a missionary among refugees and asylum seekers in Canada - a ministry she remains passionate about. Her heart is always with the marginalized and she is constantly looking for new ways to expand the table and draw the circle wider.

Betsy is currently in the ordination process. She and her husband have two dogs and are expecting the birth of their first child very soon! 

Kenneith Stock

Choir Director

Kenneith is a passionate educator and conductor from Del City, Oklahoma, where he currently works as Director of Choral Activities at Carl Albert High School. He received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. His favorite biblical passage comes from Psalm 121 KJV, which tells of God's undying love for those who love him, remembering to always turn to him in time of need. “I will lift mine eyes unto the hills, from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord."

Jake Harrell

Youth Pastor

Jake is a senior at Oklahoma City University pursuing a degree in English and Religious Education. Aside from being our incredible youth pastor, he also serve as president of Delta Alpha Chi, OCU’s Christian men’s service fraternity. His passions are Christian education, non-fiction, and Academic research.

Sherry mccurley

Children's Minister

Sherry was baptized at Goodrich and participated in the church until she graduated from UCO in Edmond. She and her husband, Steve, married at Goodrich after graduating, then began their careers in education and theater and built a beautiful family together. After retiring, they returned to South OKC and returned to Goodrich. Sherry loves being back home and the opportunity to serve the children of Goodrich. She is an invaluable member of our team and brings with her years of knowledge, discipleship, and love.

Sylvia Ryan


Dr. Sylvia Ryan is a gifted musician and stellar pianist. She is a third generation piano teacher and church musician. She received a DMA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from OU and studied in Belgium on a Rotary Fellowship. Sylvia has taught on the college level and currently maintains a full-time independent studio in Norman. She is a NAMTA Past-President and has been active on the state and local level of OMTA since 1983. On top of all of these accomplishments, Sylvia is also a kind, generous, and wonderful person whom we adore. 

Debbie Anderson


Debbie is a rock in our community! She serves as our custodian, keeping our facilities in order and always ready for ministry. You can often find her helping with various ministries throughout the week and generally being the most joyful person to be around. Debbie and her husband, Larry, have two amazing daughters and several grandchildren.
